Husband accused of bludgeoning wife to death with flashlight in front of 3 kids

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX/Gray News) - A Vermont man is facing charges after police say he bludgeoned his wife to death with a large flashlight.Burlington Police say they received multiple 911 calls just before 6 a.m. Saturday reporting a fight. They responded to an apartment and found a woman unresponsive in bed with head injuries. She was taken the hospital, where she was pronounced dead Sunday evening.The victim’s name has not been released.Investigators identified the suspect as 44-year-old Bal Khadka, the victim’s husband. Police allege he bludgeoned his wife with a large flashlight in front of three children.Khadka was initially charged with attempted murder, but after his wife’s death, detectives updated the charge against him to second-degree murder.Khadka is expected in court Tuesday.
